Kambara is providing educational support for students in Sandpoint supporting a short-term exchange program, providing scholarships for higher education to local students and supplying local schools and universities with materials and technical resources to foster and grow aviation-related coursework to improve the educational experience and to develop future sources of human resources.

Kambara is providing educational support for students in Sandpoint supporting a short-term exchange program, providing scholarships for higher education to local students and supplying local schools and universities with materials and technical resources to foster and grow aviation related coursework to improve the educational experience and to develop future sources of human resources.

Program Details

Support schools, universities, and/or other groups or organizations providing learning experiences and/or training to people of all ages.
– Time frame: Year-round
– The number of opportunities per year is based on the budget
– The materials may include, but are not limited to surplus material for instructional use (e.g. aluminum and surplus components), out-of-service inspection and/or test equipment (e.g. calipers, pin gages, etc.), hand tools and pneumatic equipment (e.g. drills, rivet guns, clecos, etc.). The technical resources may include, but are not limited to, using engineers to instruct classes or provide technical support on projects, and instructors for other classes (e.g. Financial Planning).
– This will not cover general operating expenses, salaries, etc.

Purpose/Goal of Program

To foster, grow and improve the educational experience, and develop future work-force ready resources (by providing) financial support for technology-related coursework materials and technical resources for schools and/or universities in Bonner County and Boundary County, Idaho and Fukuyama, Japan.

Requirements criteria

• Outline of intended scope of project and materials/resources needed
• Must apply year-to-year
• Must be from Bonner County and Boundary County, Idaho and Fukuyama, Japan

Documentation needed

• Bids on costs of materials/resources
• Reimbursement-style grant, with quarterly and end-of-project reporting
• Documentation on number of students affected in project/program
• Student evaluations at completion of project/program
