The purpose of the Student Foreign Exchange Program is to financially support a short term cultural exchange opportunity for youth ages 14 – 18 between Bonner County and Boundary County, Idaho and Fukuyama, Japan.
The vision of the program is for participants to experience other cultures in other parts of the world, with the goal of broadening their perspective on other cultures and the world as a whole.
The goal of the Foundation is to financially support short-term cultural exchange programs to have students travel abroad to study and experience other cultures during the summer. The number of opportunities per year is based on the budget and The program will cover all costs for student – travel, per diem, etc.
The Scholarship for Higher Education Program was created to provide scholarships and grants for individuals seeking to improve their knowledge and skills through education and training opportunities year-round and the number of opportunities per year is based on the budget.
This program is in place to sponsor activities in the communities of the targeted geographies to support, develop, and enrich the lives of the younger generation. This support may take the form of financial donation, material purchases, and/or volunteer personnel resources.
Kambara is providing educational support for students in Sandpoint supporting a short-term exchange program, providing scholarships for higher education to local students and supplying local schools and universities with materials and technical resources to foster and grow aviation related coursework to improve the educational experience and to develop future sources of human resources.
